Chief Systems Engineer

• Bachelor's Degree
• At least 15+ years experience.
• Basic knowledge in Contracts and Negotiation
• Basic knowledge in Executive level Program management (PMI or comparable)
• Good problem solving skills
• Excellent communication skills with ability to interact effectively with department staff and clients
• Good work ethic with a Customer Support focus
• Ability to meet deadlines for multiple tasks and projects required with minimal supervision
• Ability to lift, move and set up equipment such as computers, monitors, servers, etc.
• Willingness to handle after-hours client support calls
• Strong team-building skills.

The Chief Systems Engineer will be responsible for some of the key functional/technical areas:
Technical design/development/management activities, usually supervising a team of technical people assigned to same or cross-functional discipline (aeronautical, electrical, mechanical, RF, software, or systems engineering). Performing technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensuring the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performing functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
